Beautiful Couple Session at Escondido Kit Carson Park - P & D

Too many times do we take the everyday love for granted and fail to appreciate the simple things.

Something so basic as having a picnic to share a meal together can be easily turned into a photoshoot opportunity. Paolo and their partner Dominic allowed me to capture their love in this beautiful setting. I had scouted a park a few days prior and found an area beneath some shaded trees, untouched (for now). Hoping to capitalize on the overgrown brush and foliage we concluded bringing Filipino food and drinks to the picnic to showcase his culture. From lumpia to pancit to ube flavored desserts and with a sprinkle of a few birds of paradise the setting was immaculate. It was so nice having this field, away from the general public at the park, it allowed my couple to really be authentic and comfortable. We put on some SZA on the speakers and let them groove, picking each other up and spinning around to the beat. I will always recommend being true to yourself and not be under the impression that you have to show out for the camera, authenticity shines through at the end of the day.
