Summer Intimate Cabin Wedding in Skykomish, Washington - Celeste & Kenny

Private Vow Reading

Set amidst the natural landscape of lush trees, this cabin was the perfect backdrop for Celeste and Kenny’s intimate wedding in Skykomish, Washington. I have known Celeste since our middle school days and is considered one of my most cherished friends, at this point she would be considered my sister. When I was asked to attend and photograph her wedding with Kenny I immediately said yes. There is no greater honor than to capture such an important time in their lives together and I was willing to travel for that.

The details were understated yet deeply meaningful, allowing their love to shine. Sunflowers(her favorite flowers) chosen for the bride’s bouquet, Nike Air Force 1s as her weddings shoes for comfort (very Celeste), and a beautiful black suit worn by the groom, all of these intentional details don’t go unnoticed.

The ceremony was set outdoors, beneath a canopy of trees, with a large pine in the center as if Mother Nature herself was officiating. In that little cabin that we kept to ourselves we found the summer season to be the perfect time of the year for this special event. At 11 am, with the sun near its peak, the couple exchanged their vows and shortly after said their I do’s amongst their closest friends and family. Their words were soft and sincere, filled with much love for each other, and very genuine to themselves. I captured each fleeting moment—the shared smiles, the whispered promises, and the love that radiated from their hearts. It was a moment I will remember forever.

After the ceremony in Skykomish, the celebration continued in Seattle at Aqua, a waterfront venue that offered sweeping views of the city's skyline and Elliott Bay. The reception was a vibrant affair, filled with laughter, toasts from family and friends, and heartfelt moments. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the city's lights began to twinkle, adding a touch of magic to the evening. Celeste and Kenny's joy was palpable, and my camera clicked away, preserving the memories of this lively celebration. It was a reminder that love isn't just about quiet moments; it's also about the exuberant ones, where stomachs are full and spirits are high. This is such a beautiful reminder that intimate weddings, although small, are often filled with big emotions and powerful memories that will always be cherished for years to come.
